Extra-Curricular Clubs and Activities
At Monument Academy, we believe that after-school programs, including clubs, are an important part of the implicit curriculum which helps to develop character and extra knowledge for students to gain a more expansive education that is not limited by the classroom.
Participation in Extracurricular Clubs & Activities is voluntary. Students and parents must understand that these activities are not covered in the general expenses of the school. To participate, there may be financial obligations for the parents. Depending upon the club or activity, the cost for the student will vary. Should the group experience success, it may require extra travel and expense to continue in competition. The school is not responsible for these incurred expenses and the burden will rest with the parents and students. It is also not the responsibility of the staff sponsor or the school to raise the money. Each club or activity may have a fee to participate. This fee is used to cover the cost to compete, t-shirts, uniforms, official fees, and other expenses. Any additional travel costs will be covered by the student/parent.
